Escapada

Afro House DJ Joshua Robbie launched his own event: Escapada. I designed the visual style and event posters for this event. I liked playing with layers and showing the edition's number really big in the background. This could become a recognizable pattern for future editions by constantly changing the number and color scheme.
I knew the location would be Club MeWe in Amsterdam, so I started looking for visual cues in the venue. The shape of the bar quickly caught my eye. Above the bar, three rings hang with a rounded, moving shape. This would be a good element to incorporate into the event design. These rings will also have a slightly different shape for each poster to maintain variety. Based on the poster design I created a motion graphic as well.
